Your family can pick their own pumpkins from their patch or choose from our large selection of pre-picked pumpkins in the yard. In addition to pumpkins, there is a large selection of pumpkins, gourds, winter squash, flowers, wooden cut-outs, arts and crafts and fall decorations.

The Marquis de Lafayette was one of the heroes of the American Revolution and was with Washington here in Yorktown at the surrender of Cornwallis, October 19, 1781!  After the Yorktown campaign, he returned to France, became embroiled in the French Revolution, was imprisoned for more than five years, was released, and was then entertained in the United States like a rock star, at the invitation of President James Monroe, on his visit Aug. 15, 1824 - Sept. 7, 1825.

Over 40 years of sailing and exploring the waters, marshes and harbors of Chesapeake Bay have provided him with a vast wealth of maritime subjects. A solo exhibition of Lew’s extraordinary works will be on display in the Gallery Oct. 7-31. Please join us for a reception to celebrate the opening of the show 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7. Meet Lew and enjoy libations and hors d’oeuvres.

East Meets Midwest II: A New Figuration is a show organized from eastern painters referred to as the East Coast Group and painters from the collective called the Midwest Paint Group. In 2010, after showing in Chicago, St. Louis and New York City, the show culminated at the College of William & Mary. Fortunately we have the opportunity, again, to experience their work in The Andrews Gallery, located in our Art & Art History Department.

Nature Connects is an award-winning, record-breaking exhibition now touring North America. Created with over a half million LEGO pieces, this show features larger-than-life sculptures built with LEGO bricks by Brooklyn artist and children's author Sean Kenney. The sculptures bring nature to life with a 6-foot hummingbird hovering over a trumpet flower, a deer family made from 84,000 bricks, a giant tortoise, a 7-foot long dragonfly and more.

Beginning in 1948, The Mariners’ Museum and Park and the James River Camera Club co-hosted an annual juried exhibition of marine photography each spring, in which amateur and professional photographers submitted their prints illustrating man's relationship with the sea.

In February 2007, Newport News City Council affirmed Greifswald, Germany, as its third official Sister City. Sister City relationships offer the flexibility to form connections between communities that are mutually beneficial and which address issues that are most relevant for each city. This photography exhibition will recognize the 10th anniversary of the Newport News–Greifswald relationship. These photographs were created by eight photographers who live and work in the region.
